On the east coast of the island of Lanzarote, within the tourist town of Costa Teguise, is Las Cucharas beach. An urban beach of white sand, it is perfect for families with teenagers as it has areas which are reserved for those wishing to take up the several water sports on offer such as surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving as well as a pedal boat hiring service. The Cucharas beach is, without doubt, a fun beach ideal for all the family. More
El Jablillo beach is located in Costa Teguise, in the east of Lanzarote. As well as being naturally sheltered from the wind and tides, it has a breakwater which further guarantees the tranquility of its waters. El Jablillo beach is perfect for the whole family, the children can play on the sand all day long and swim in the sea while parents can relax without having to worry and enjoy the sun which shines all year round in Lanzarote. Aquapark Costa Teguise is the biggest water park in Lanzarote. It is located in the east coast of Lanzarote in Costa Teguise, with slides to suit all, restaurants, bars and loads of other activities it is a great day out. There are thrills and spills aplenty at this fun-filled waterpark. It's got 3 main groups of slides - of varying steepness - which plunge into the main pool area. Ride the adrenaline-fuelled Kamikaze, or whiz through the tunnels on a tube. For something less energetic, check out the jacuzzi. More
Located in the foothills of an ancient volcano and with breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean, this golf course is maintained and ready to be played all year round. It is located 5 minutes away from the most important hotels in Costa Teguise and its beautiful beaches. This is a fantastic course Par 72, not only because of its design but also thanks to the excellent condition in which it is kept all year round. The course runs along the side of an old volcano, set within an inspirational landscape of volcanic lava, cacti and palm trees. More
The “Telamón” is one of the few half sunken wrecks in the Canary Islands. This 136 meter long boat, originally called “Temple Hall” sprung a leak in 1981 and ran aground in Arrecife port in Lanzarote and since it could not be repaired it was maneuvered a few hundred meters out of the port with the intention of grounding it. There it split into two parts, one 74metres long which is above the surface of the water and the other smaller part lies at a depth of 18 meters. Because of its location, the largest part is idea for snorkellers and for beginners wishing to explore wrecks. In fact, rescue teams do practical training here. More
The César Manrique Foundation is located in the centre of Lanzarote, in the house known as Taro de Tahiche. A painter, architect and sculptor, it was Manrique’s brainchild to make this island the most beautiful of all. This building, constructed on five volcanic bubbles, since converted into rooms, is an example of the artist’s own style of architecture. Here is where the visitor can best understand how Lanzarote was transformed, mixing art with nature while at the same time respecting the landscape and the traditions of the island. More
The Archeology Museum of Lanzarote brings us through the origins of the people from Lanzarote valuing its rich ethnographic heritage. The museum is located in a unique building in the Canary Islands due to its architectural features. More
